EMILY TRAN-NGUYEN, OD

Dr. Tran-Nguyen was born in Vietnam and raised in Sugarland, Texas. She graduated from Houston Baptist University and received her bachelor of biology and chemistry. She was on the University Deans list numerous times during her undergraduate studies at HBU. She attended the University of Houston College of Optometry where she received her Doctorate degree in 1993. Dr. Emily Tran-Nguyen completed her clinical externship in emergency ocular care, post-operative care, contact lenses, geriatrics and primary eye care at Keesler and Kirkland Air Force Bases. She is board certified in the treatment and management of ocular disease and glaucoma and has attended numerous post graduate courses in laser vision correction. She is experienced in contact lens fitting such as bifocal contacts, CRT (Corneal Reshaping Therapy) contacts and all specialty contact lenses.

Since completion of her optometry degree, she started her own practice in Victoria. Over the past 30 years, Dr. Tran-Nguyen has been committed to serving her patients with the best vision care and treating every patient like family. She is proud to serve patients with state-of-the-art equipment and the best vision care over the years.

Dr. Tran-Nguyen is married and has two children. She is an active parishioner of Our Lady of Victory Church. She enjoys reading, traveling, gardening, and exercising.

Dr. Katelynn Nguyen

Dr. Nguyen was born and raised in Victoria, TX. She earned her Bachelor's of Science in Psychology with a minor in Biology from University of Houston. She received her Doctorate of Optometry from the University of Houston College of Optometry after completing her externships at the Naval Base in San Diego and Cedar Springs Eye Clinic in Dallas, TX, where she concentrated on primary care, medical eye care and glaucoma management.

Dr. Nguyen is a practicing Therapeutic Optometrist and Optometric Glaucoma Specialist and offers comprehensive eye examinations, contact lens fittings, annual diabetic dilated exams, and ocular disease treatment and management.

When she is not providing quality eye care, Dr. Nguyen loves cooking Vietnamese food, exploring new places, and spending time with loved ones.

Dr. Kelly Bisignano

Dr. Bisignano is originally from Houston, TX. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Physiology & Developmental Biology with a minor in World Dance from Brigham Young University in Provo, UT. Afterwards, she returned home to continue her education by completing her Master of Science in Physiological Optics & Vision Science and Doctor of Optometry at the University of Houston College of Optometry. While at UHCO, she completed externships at multiple Cherokee Nation Rural Eye Clinics throughout northeastern Oklahoma and Bellaire Family Eyecare in Houston, TX. During this time, Dr. Bisignano focused on primary care optometry, diabetes care, ocular urgencies, pediatrics, and myopia management.

When not in clinic, Dr. Bisignano enjoys finding new dance styles to learn, reading, spending time with her family, and exploring new places with her husband.

JENNIFER CANALES

Jennifer Canales is the friendly face and the warm familiar voice that greets you on your first and many encounters at Transvision. Jennifer has had the pleasure of serving our patients over the past 16 years as our senior office administrator. She oversees other team members, performs insurance verifications, and helps train new staff with excellent customer service skills.

Jennifer was born and raised in Victoria, Texas. She graduated from Victoria High School in 1992. She’s married to her loving husband who takes her to lunch daily since she started working with us in 1999. They raised two beautiful kids and were recently blessed with their first grandson. In her free time, she enjoys going to the movies and dinner dates with her family. She loves the beach, picnics at the park, and going on her annual camping trips with her family. She attends Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church and is the biggest fan of her daughter’s softball team.

MARIA AGUILAR

Maria has the bright smile that warms your heart and her friendliness will make you feel right at home as you enter our office. Maria has been our office contact lens manager since she joined Transvision in 2007. She enjoys helping our patients in looking and seeing better with our new technology in clear and color contacts.

Maria is a native Victorian and is bilingual. She graduated from Memorial High School in 2006. She is married and has one beautiful daughter. She is also a parishioner of Santisima Trinidad Chapel. Maria enjoys spending time with her sisters and family and enjoys playing soccer. Her greatest idol is her father.
